
Shirley Yeung graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with insurance as major.
In 1981, she became the first Chinese woman in Hong Kong to obtain a professional designation of F.C.II., a British equivalent of CPCU in the States. She also has the ARM designation in the U.S.
She joined Johnson & Higgins Hong Kong operation in 1981, and was entrusted with servicing numerous Fortune 500 accounts. In 1985, Ms. Yeung was recruited under expatiate terms by John & Higgins Los Angeles office.
Ms. Yeung was invited to join CIGNA Insurance Company in 1990, and became the underwriting and marketing manager of CIGNA’s Asian Division. She helped build up the strongest Chinese and Korean insurance distribution network for CIGNA.
In 1995, Ms. Yeung founded the the USASIA Insurance Services which is now a well respected Insurance Wholesaler in the Asian Property & Casualty Insurance Market in California, and is currently its President.
She was the 1999-2001 President of the Chinese America Insurance Professional Association in California, and 2004-2006 President of Alhambra Lion Club in California, 2006-2008 Board of City of Hope Insurance Council. She currently also sits on the Board of California Asian Insurance Professional Association, Alhambra Lions Club and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Southern California) Association.
